Allen R Vaala, PhD, has spent almost 30 years in industry with Eastman Kodak Company. While there, he spent much of his time leading diversity initiatives, establishing mentoring training, working with Employee Networks, and working with numerous colleges and universities, all while leading a large R& D division! In addition, Allen founded the Business, Engineering, Science, and Technology (BEST) program as a partnership between Kodak and the Pennsylvania State University. BEST is a 4 week summer career awareness and educational enrichment program for rising high school seniors of color.

Allen has given presentations at major universities and national diversity groups including Penn State University, University of Arizona, NAMEPA, and GEM on such topics as diversity initiatives, recruitment and retainment, and developing strategic diversity plans. After taking early retirement from Kodak, Allen became the Director of the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) Center on Employment in early 2001 where he is now responsible for helping deaf and hard of hearing students secure co-op positions and permanent jobs upon college graduation.

Mary-Frances Winters, Ph.D., CEO, founded the Winters Group in 1984. Previously, she was affirmative action officer and senior market analyst at Eastman Kodak Company. From the University of Rochester, she holds undergraduate degrees in English and psychology, and an MBA from the William E. Simon Executive Development Program. She received an honorary doctorate from Roberts Wesleyan College in 1997. Winters was selected as the 1994-95 distinguished Minett Professor by Rochester Institute of Technology's College of Continuing Education, where she taught leadership. In 1992, she was one of five women nationally to receive the Avon Products, Inc., and US Small Business Administration's Women of Entreprise Award. Winters was selected as a torchbearer for the 1996 Olympic Torch Relay. She is a member of the National Speakers Association and a frequent contributor to USA Today and numerous professional journals on issues of diversity and leadership.

As a performer, he has been seen on stage, television in movies and his voice has been heard on hundreds of local and national radio and television commercials. He has appeared on the “strip” in Las Vegas as a speaker, magician and comic. Brad’s presentations stress learning the secrets of personal success in an entertaining and memorable manner because people learn faster and retain more information when they are having fun in the process. His efforts have awarded him the Patrick Henry Award for patriotic oratory from the American Legion as well as the Citizenship Award.
